Somato Respiratory Integration

w/Lawrence Bell, D.C.

Based on Donald Epstein’s book “The 12 Stages of Healing”, SRI exercises are designed to help the brain to reconnect with the body & its experience. The goal of SRI is to help an individual develop lifetime skills, safety, strength, wisdom and love in relationship to the experience of his/her body, its vibration, structure, and energy.

Through reconnecting a person’s breath, touch, focused movement and attention, they are able to experience the body more fully and instantly shift their state of consciousness to one that supports trust for the body-mind and their life experience.

Season of:   TRANSFORM

In Transform (Stages 4 through 7), we take conscious action with courage, strength, determination, and self-assurance to create the necessary changes in the moment.   The “shoulds” of Discover now become “musts”.  Life is about transforming our rules, beliefs, and maps of our life and relationships to reach or exceed our targets.  It is ultimately a season of empowerment, progress, and feeling victorious.

In transform, the concept of a problem does not exist (as in Discovery).  There are only solutions and opportunities that are taken without hesitation.  Transform involves focused and directed use of the mind to harness emotional and life energies.  The foreground of the mind is concerned with precise planning, taking action, reassessing & taking new decisive action, achievement, and opportunities.

The lesson in this season: the development of the sense of self with courage and determination; transforming one’s life is associated with making decisions, plans, actions, and follow through; leadership through action.
